Bushaman’s river is one of the longest navigable rivers in the country and is great for all forms of water sports. Sand board riding is also a great entertaining activity for the youngsters. There are many nature reserves around the area, with the Kariega Game Reserve just down the road. There are wonderful cycle routes on road and off road. The coast line in the area is breathtaking and has amazing bird life. The area is one that will leave you feeling relaxed and not wanting to leave. Our beloved shack at Bushmans River Mouth is an original shack is situated in Park Street, Bushmans River Mouth, an hour and 15 minutes drive from Port Elizabeth. The shack is near the Church and the tennis court, and is a 5 minute stroll down to the river.
The shack is rustic, but equipped and comfortable. No DStv or Wi-Fi, so if you looking to get away from it all, this is the place for you. Long walks and swims, braaing under the stars, reading,chatting and watching the birds is what this place is about.
The shack has 2 bedrooms inside, 1 room has a King size bed (2 singles converted) and the other room has a queen bed and 1 single bed. All the rooms have built in cupboards. There is a bathroom with a bath, toilet and basin. The 3rd bedroom is off the patio with a bunk bed and 2 single beds.
The kitchen is well-equipped with a stove and oven, a microwave, a fridge and all you need. There is also a bar fridge in the lounge. There is an 8-seater table on the patio and a 6-seater in the lounge. The portable drum braai is on the grass in front of the patio. There is also built-in braai. The rain water tank supplies lovely drinkable cold water.
There is an outside building with a separate flush toilet, a stunning hot shower. Pets are permitted by request. The garden is fully enclosed.
