Sibuya Game Reserve & Lodge is South Africa’s only Big 5 game reserve that is accessed by boat, and spans the lovely Kariega Estuary. The establishment is located roughly 8.5 km from Kenton-on-Sea.

Guests have a choice of booking the Forest Camp, the River Camp or the Bush Camp. The Forest Camp is situated on the Kariega Riverbank and has long wooden walkways. Ideal for adults, and children over the age of 12, the camp offers guest have a choice of 8 tents. The tents are furnished with king-size beds and have en-suite bathrooms with baths and showers. Four of the tents also have pull-out sleeper divan for a child. Each of the tents also has a cosy fireplace for the colder evenings.

Tucked in a small forest, the River Camp offers tented rooms that are ideal for families and friends. The 4 tents are furnished with king-size beds, as well as sleeper couches for children, and have en-suite bathrooms with baths and showers. The tents are equipped with cosy fireplaces and open onto decks with fold-out sofa beds. The Forest and River Camps are almost exclusively run on solar power do not have facilities such as Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, fans, and hairdryers.

The luxurious Bush Camp offers private and spacious units that are furnished with king-size beds or queen-size beds and have en-suite bathrooms with showers, as well as outdoor showers. Divans are available for children, over the age of 12, sharing with their parents. The air-conditioned units are equipped with tea-and-coffee-making facilities, wood-burning fireplace, and opens onto private viewing decks that overlook the valley below. Bush Camp has grid electricity, and viewing decks surround the main lodge. Guests also have access to the communal swimming pool.

Bush Lodge and Firest Camp are both for adults only, with a minimum guest age of 12; River Campe is a family camp and children of all ages are welcome.

Sibuya Game Reserve & Lodge offers fresh, healthy buffet-style meals that are served al fresco or on 1 of the beautiful lapas. An abundance of wildlife can be seen, ranging from 400 species of birds and 45 species of game, including the Big Five. Guests can go swimming, fishing, or canoeing, and specialised guides are available for walks, game drives, and exclusive boat trips. Additional activities can be arranged such as massages or horse-back riding on the beach.
